Family Reunion

We just got back from Bryce's family reunion on his mom's side. It was in Winthrop, Washingon which is about 4 1/2 hours north of here. We were annoyed at first at how long it took to get there but once we arrived we saw it was a great campsite. It was a nice 85 degrees (I actually prefer temperatures in the 100s but with Kamri I am ok with it being a little cooler). Several family members brought up camper trailers but a lot, including us, stayed in cute little miniature cabins. We had a lot of fun seeing family members we haven't seen since the last reunion (in 2004). We are back for a day and then are taking off for Utah for a quick vacation until I start back to work next Monday.

The trip up took longer than anticipated. We had to stop for lunch, stop for baby feedings twice, and once because Kamri had a poop blow out that required us to stop the car and change her. While we were stopped, apparently Blake and Tayson both decided it was also a potty break and huddled around a bush to relieve themselves. Bryce got this picture right as they were finishing up. Wouldn't it be nice to be a boy?

Above: Bryce and Sean playing a little ladder golf.
Below: The boys playing a little touch/gentle tackle football.

And of course, Bryce teaching Tayson how to be a man being using a very sharp knife to wittle a very small stick.

Tayson and Kamri got to meet cousins they had never met before. Here is Kamri with Riley Nelson. And Tayson is showing Jaron Larson how to throw a football while balancing on a wooden beam. Tayson felt pretty cool this weekend because he is usually the smallest and was very willing to impart all of his worldly knowledge onto Jaron.

You might wonder were Blake is. There were teenage cousins his age at the reunion to hang with. We barely saw him the whole time.

Now we are off to Utah (almost).
